First Google has broken into the smartphone market with Nexus and then the company’s branded Google Pixel. Now, it seems like smartwatches are to follow suit as the company will be launching its own smartwatch powered by Android Wear.
the product manager of Android Wear (owned by Google), Jeff Chang has confirmed that the tech giant will launch two smartwatches in the first quarter of 2017.
Chang said that the smartwatches will be the first devices to support Android Wear 2.0. Google will be building the smartwatches in collaboration with an unnamed manufacturer, the same approach used for the company’s Nexus devices.
