Samajwadi Party fight erupts again, Akhilesh Yadav snubs uncle Shivpal over Assembly poll tickets

The rift within Uttar Pradesh’s Samajwadi clan refuses to die down with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav undermining uncle Shivpal yet again.

Soon after party boss Mulayam Yadav said that SP is not going to enter into an alliance ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, Akhilesh submitted a list of candidates for 403 Assembly seats to him. The list doesn’t include name of several leaders considered close to Shivpal.

Sources say senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Raj Babbar have held several rounds of meetings with SP supremo Mulayam Singh. The alliance, many say, will have a significant impact on the battle for Uttar Pradesh.
